Together we gathered for a night of giving, on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 for our 4th and final meeting of 2019!

A big #100WomenAPW thank you to Nurse Chevrolet Cadillac for hosting our meeting. President and Owner, Mary Nurse and her team went over and above to accommodate our group including the donation of wine and an additional cash donation.

We were very grateful for the generous donation of appetizers and treats for our members from Wanda at Shrimp Cocktail. The perfect accompaniment to a glass of wine! Be sure to check out the restaurant for lunch or dinner, polished and classy seafood at its best. #community #giveback

We heard from three impactful charities! Keep those nominations coming ladies, use #ThePowerof100 to nominate a charity today!

We are always excited to learn more about programs that serve our communities and how we can give back:

1.  Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, Ontario Chapter Speaker: Jane Fitzpatrick and Stephanie Atwood (100 Women Member) View Presentation

2. COPE Administrative Assistant and Group Facilitator View Presentation

3. Autism Home Base Durham nominated by Susan. CEO Judy Hanson joined by Derek Thiel  View Presentation

And the WINNING charity is ….

Autism Home Base Durham nominated by Susan. We heard from CEO Judy Hanson joined by Derek Thiel, who’s 24-year-old brother Robbie is on the spectrum. Derek shared with us the impact Autism Home Base has on his family, providing support and events for both Robbie and the family to participate. An invaluable community is filling a need for adults living with autism.

Visit their Facebook page, give them a “LIKE” and help spread the word about the work they are doing in our community.

 Help us grow our membership!

We need you help to grow our membership – please ask a friend, co-worker, neighbour, sister, aunt – anyone you think would enjoy soft networking opportunities and meeting like minded people. Ask them to visit us at our next meeting and learn more about us. – Have them complete this form prior to the meeting.

The more members we have, the more significant the impact we can make in the community. #LocalWomenLocalImpact
